Breakfast nooks are not the biggest and easiest rooms to decorate in the house. But this does not mean that you can’t add flair and personality to this little space to give it the nice appeal and ambiance you want. A breakfast nook set might be the perfect way to dress up your own nook.
Let’s think first about what we use the breakfast nook for. Most people use it primarily as a spot to eat breakfast, drink coffee, and maybe read the paper with family and friends in the morning. It’s also used as a place to sit while having a conversation, pay the bills, do homework, or read a book. The point here is that the breakfast nook should be a nice quaint spot in your home to be able to rest and relax without too much distraction. You can design and decorate this small room but it should be done with all the above in mind.

What comes in a breakfast nook set?
Table:
There are many choices of tables to choose from. Round tables are great for bigger breakfast nooks where people can sit all the way around a round table. They fit better in round nooks than they would in a square, rectangle, or open nook.
The rectangular tables come in all sizes and will fit great either in the middle of the nook or pushed up against a corner to save more room.
Chairs:
Having chairs around the table is going to take up quite a bit of space but is usually the most comfortable option if you have the room. If not, using stools is a great way to conserve space but still have independent seating. This isn’t going to be that comfortable to sit down for too long so definitely keep that in mind.
If you are really limited on space a bench might be the best option for your breakfast nook. They make padded and upholstered benches for a more comfortable sit and you can even by corner benches for those really tiny nooks.
Other options:
I’ve seen some breakfast nook sets that are just a one-piece booth. Sort of like at restaurant but much smaller. For a really small breakfast nook area, you may need to buy a small table with bench seating.
